Not sure if it qualifies as "out there today", but I really like my Schick K1 / Lady Eversharp. Very mild, and with "Hydro-Magic" too!
I don't usually like long handles, but because it's light it still balances nicely.

I dunno ... I have a V2 Hawk, and I find it to be too rough for me.
I've only ever tried it with KAI Captain Titan Mild blades in it though. Perhaps a different blade would help. Any recommendations?

Had the same experience with the Hack V2.
Maybe a guarded blade? (KAI Captain Titan Mild Protouch MG Blade (guarded blade))

I have the V3 Hawk which is the stainless one. No experience with the V2 aluminum version to compare.
