I fail to understand your response. I think my example regarding watches and subsequent assertions about artisan shaving products is apt. Care to elaborate on your disagreement, since you were the one that brought up the comparison in the first place?

Ok, coming from the guy who said he wanted no part in this thread and then made a grossly inaccurate comparison about watchmaking and artisans. If you are going to take the time to make an argument, at least be prepared to back it up when someone questions it, otherwise your opinions carry little weight.

Get a life, all you are looking for is a ridiculous argument that I'm not going to feed into. I can care less if my opinion matter to you or otherwise.  One, I wasn't talking to you, and two, it was MY opinion.  I don't have to prove a thing, specially to someone like you.

Adios!  Continue the argument by yourself!

I think most will agree that infrequent, yet thoughtful comments on a subject, are far more appreciated than someone trolling the hell out of other members at every opportunity and making assertions about products that have no merit. I didn't post in this thread to start a spitting contest with you. I posted because I thought your comparison was not a good one, and I was hoping for some clarification as to how you arrived at your conclusion. If you don't want to respond, fine, but don't come at me with an arrogant attitude.

My God, man, you sure do act like a spoiled brat. Go dip in to your trust fund and pick up another Romain watch and maybe you'll calm down a bit...

I think the rank of the maker can only be determined by the quality of the finished product.

This now angry "discussion" is now going in circles and will have no end unless -------- snip!
The circle now has two ends and both lived happily ever after.

Please. Back to shaving.

For the record, I wasn't trying to start any sort of argument. I was merely pointing out that there are occasions where a mass-produced product can fit the mold of what some consider artisan quality, alternatively just because something is made in small batches, or is "hand made" doesn't mean it warrants the praise it deserves by virtue of the fact that the producer claims the product is "artisan made."

It is unfortunate that I had to withstand personal abuse from a member of this community in order to share this opinion.
