Yes, that was the review. It will be my next purchase after a period of laying low. I like this thread; I haven't been on in a while due to the start of my last high school baseball season with #2 son.
Strange, but true. I first became aware of the poem Endymion through the movie "White Men Can't Jump" featuring Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes. " 'A thing of beauty is a joy forever.' My man John Keats said that." Then again, my knowledge of opera is mostly derived from Bugs Bunny cartoons.
I have a difficult time finishing soaps. They stay around a long time even though I use them almost every day. Getting a bottle of fragrance is like getting a tattoo or a scar - its around forever. If I ever get tired of Endymion, I will be able to reread your review and feel good about myself when I wear it.

Careful mate, I have a habit of waxing poetic in my Fragrance Daily reviews lol - if you like poetry that might be a source of no-buy violations . Anyway, Keats is one of my favorite poets, mostly due to the Endymion and Hyperion poems. I couldn't help but love the scent.
By the way, samples are readily available for the Penhaligon's line. I always recommend sampling first due to skin chemistry and taste differences, but I also agree that fragrance is immensely personal and somewhat of a commitment. Having a link to the idea of a fragrance (perhaps through a poem such as Endymion) is always nice.
I have a few fragrances like that: for me, Endymion, Aventus, L'Humaniste, Danger Pour Homme, and Victorious are all linked to good memories or intellectual pursuits. Fragrance is such an evocative form of art.
Thanks again for the kind words.
