Although it is regarded by many as a starter cream Taylor of old Bond Street is getting a lot of love in my den just now
The scents I have are Grapefruit, Sandalwood and Peppermint with Jermyn street on order
For me they just perform brilliantly and the scent strengths are strong which I like

What a tough question...

In absolutely no order of preference:

B&M
Caties Bubbles
Cold River soaps
Soap commander
Shaver heaven
Knockout
Reef Point and
St. James of London.

I have at least one of most of the popular soaps, but these are the ones I'm reaching for as of today.

HARD SOAPS:  Saponifico Varesino--any scent.

SOFTISH SOAPS:  Le Pere Lucien, by a lot. Though right behind it is Mike's Naturals and Reef Point. Honorable mention: Catie's Bubbles, Tiki, Proraso Red. (News flash as of 27 June: I tried Reef Point shaving soap yesterday and used it again today. WOW! It's giving my LPL a run for the money. GREAT soap! I love me some Reef Point).

CREAMS:  Art of Shaving sandalwood. I hate to admit it since AOS is owned by P&G, but there it is. It's great. Honorable mention: St. James of London Sandalwood; Kiss My Face (affordable and superb). Was a fan of XPEC but the honeymoon's over.

My Current Top 5 Soaps are (I really don't use creams although I have a few):

Martin de Candre (Both Scents)
Wholly Kaw Fougere Bouquet
Catie's Bubbles LPV
Shaver Heaven Forbidden Forest
Soap Commander Passion

The worst soaps in my opinion are Geo. F. Trumper's entire line of soaps (creams are good). They are grossly overpriced and generate horrible lather no matter what brush I use. I have tried  just about everything.

Lavanille is my all-time favorite, but I'm really digging LASSCo right now: Woody Lavender and Topanga Fougère. Strop Shoppe LE Pêche is excellent as well. As for creams, I only have one and that is St. James of London's Sandalwood & Bergamot. Ridiculous lather with a small amount of product, and the scent is to die for.

D.R. Harris
B&M

Maggard's
Chiseled Face
Catie's Bubbles
Tiki Bar Soap
Strop Shoppe
