Not big on bay rum or cologne-type scents. Also not big on coffee or "gourmand" scents either, at least for my shaving products. Don't get me wrong, I love coffee and desserts, etc. but I don't want to shave with a soap that smells like them. It does sound like I'm in the minority with the earthy scents. I like sandalwood and patchouli, as long as its not overpowering.

Oh yeah, I don't like the almond scent either. Not that I'm allergic, I just don't like it. No more Cella for me!

YMMV - I love bay rum - not so crazy about the heavily clove forward ones though and I don't know why anybody likes VIBR. Earthy smokey vetiver (Cyril R. Salter?) is wonderful, but this is a post for scents I dislike so I'll give it a go - Axe and axe like fragrances turn my stomach. I generally don't like the high end designer fragrances, they all sort of smell the same and nauseate me and as for the price? Nope. I don't like Brut, English Leather, Hai Karate and related smells. I have a tub of Tiki Out West soap that smells like a tannery, talk about over the top leather smell, don't like it either. I've found that I've often been disappointed in a soap or aftershave because of lack of the promised fragrance or any fragrance at all.

I was trying to hold back but to me it smells just like a variation of BO. No offense intended to anybody that enjoys it of course.

Patchouli is a necessary EO for a lot of good scents but if used heavily it does turn a lot of people off. I have a bottle of it and actually like the scent but I don't use it alone.
