Acqua di Genova 1853 aftershave, a citrus fragrance. 1853 was launched originally in that year. Top notes are bergamot and lemon; middle notes are orange blossom and orange; base notes are citruses, sandalwood, patchouli, musk and ambergris. A light and fresh colonia, this is a wonderful spring splash.

Vintage Penhaligon's Lords aftershave. Top Notes: lemon, lime, mandarin, bergamot, lavender, and basil; heart notes: neroli and muguet; and base note: labdanum, oakmoss, musk, and sandalwood. It "conjures up images of public schools, stately homes and cricket whites." A traditional fougère, with lots of lavender underscored by oakmoss, it is "elegantly restrained." And my bottle has just a few drops of caramel food coloring, because I didn't like the original clear, watery transparency.
