Wet Shaving Beginner

I'm brand new to the world of wet shaving and I've committed myself. I used to use the Gillette fusion pro glide, but I refuse to burn any more of my money on those damn expensive cartridges. I just ordered some soaps to try through etsy, a Merkur 34c safety razor, Astra platinum blades, a soap puck container, perfecto badger brush and stand, razorock alum block and case. I found a pretty cool looking scuttle that I may pickup in the future, but I think I'll be OK to start.
