Maybe some additional information would be helpful: What are the knot measures on both brushes (diameter and loft)? From what year are both brushes? Are you the first owner?

Sure thing.

Simpson is super dense and is sitting at 27/50

M&F is sitting at 29/50

I'm second owner on both, but both have only been used twice then put back in my case display.
