Rediscovered traditional wet shaving five years ago this January. Dove in head first -- modern razors, vintage razors, DE, SE, a (very) brief flirtation with the shavette. For the last year have used virtually nothing other than the devette -- DE razor minus the base plate (hex nut instead), or with a guardless baseplate -- total blade exposure. The technique is surprisingly easy to learn, and the payoff is an amazingly irritation-free shave. Fewer strokes = less irritation.
