Here are my first impressions of the Semogue Torga C5 finest badger brush.

You can also watch what I did to soften the hair (not a secret at all !) but this type of two band hair needs some conditioning prior to be use for its first time.

Good brush for the 82 dollars (got it at vintage scent for 65 euros) I paid for it.

The die hard face lathered guys have another brush to choose from.

Ordered one each of the C3's a few weeks ago, was warned it would take a while to arrive due to the virus. Good to see patience will pay off in the end!
Is that the IT Boar and the other a Mistura possibly?

Thank you for posting this.

How are these new style brushes compared to classics like the 830 and 1305? I mean the boar versions.

Beautiful brush, I'll most likely get one. I wish it came in white. I know the white was once an LTD release.

I have been using a Torga C3 Mistura for almost one month and its a great brush. A C5 Premium Cerda is also its way from Portugal. I love the shape and feel of the handles on these new Semogues.

For those of you that have both a C3 and a C5 brush, does the C5 feel much bigger?
22mm is my sweet spot, but as I have never used a Premium semogue boar and I'm considering the C5 Premium.

I do have a SOC Mistura and I feel It's big but is also 3mm higher loft.

I'm kinda sorta interested in a C5 with finest badger knot....I'm just not sure if I want a 24mm knot set at 50mm loft; I'd strongly prefer no more than 46mm loft w/ a 24mm knot. Setting my knots recently, as well as formerly having mostly custom badgers has spoiled me in terms of getting specs I prefer.

Well, I went ahead and ordered a C5 Torga in finest last night, should have it by early next week at the latest as I got it from a U.S. vendor. I was planning to order from the Portuguese Factory website and deal with the 6-10 week ship times, but after currency conversion (I THINK PayPal also adds a small fee for this as well), it would've only been a few dollars cheaper to buy from Portugal.

Funny as I've never had a shipment take that long from them. One thing I wish Semogue would do more of is larger brushes. I have hopes we'll be seeing more of that with the recent 26mm Barrel they did for the one forum I can't remember. I know Teiste would know the one I'm speaking of. I remember Foro and then forget how to spell the rest. I have the other LE with that handle posted here though. A very nice handle. One I wouldn't mind seeing going up to 28mm. My tastes for larger brushes has been growing unabatedly recently.
