I am obviously in the minority here. I had two BBS1s (#55 and #88 if I recall correctly) and could not get a decent shave with either. The shaves were smooth but not efficient enough. Exchanged them for Wolfmen and could not be happier.

I'd like t try one at some point but aesthetically I like the Wolfman better. It's a razor don't be afraid to use it. You won't lose a penny on it even used if you don't like it.  Live a little Happy2

Just a quick update. I shaved with the BBS-1. I knew it would be a great razor but was also aware that some in the shaving community are prone to hyperbole and it could not possibly be that much better than some of the others in my collection. It truly is a great razor. Had 2 days growth and it smoothly and efficient removed my whiskers. Other than my usual weeper spots it was a great smooth shave. While I'll continue to use my One Blade when in a hurry and my ATT SE, the BBS-1 is now my go to DE.

Which blade did you use? My only criticism (in my experience) with the BBS-1 is that it doesn't pair well with very many blades. I pretty much use Voskhods exclusively in it.

Awesome. I do find it a tad aggressive, but always get a great shave with it. I love the way the razor holds the blade with the four corners, as opposed to posts/pins extending through the blade.

I used my go to, Astra. No problems at all.

It's aggressive but not overly so. I actually find it quite forgiving based on the 1mm blade gap.

I wonder how long or how many the original contract was for. And if James has any plans to keep going after final razor is produced.

I wonder if he'll get back into new handles and heads.

I like the BBS handle. Never tried one. The head I mean. Sounds too aggressive for me personally. I like my Wolfman reduced gap SB head. I like the Guerilla too. Even its handle.

Maybe see a slant one day? Or a brush handle? Titanium.

The BBS-1 has a larger blade gap, but I don't find it any more aggressive than the Wolfman .74 razor, perhaps a shade more efficient/aggressive than the standard .61 Wolfmen.

I really hope he keeps making these...I'd like to get my hands on one someday.
