Valobra Soaps

They're great. Not a hard tallow soap quite like them currently being sold that I know of.

Ok- Tabac is similar, but softer in my opinion.

Vintage AOS is Valobra too.

Great stuff. If I only had one soap to use it would be O&C or Valobra fern.

I had a few Valobra soaps. I really liked their performance. It's one of the best tallow soaps available on the market.

The only negative thing I experienced with these soaps was that, for some unknown reason, they dried out my skin. I had to use a very good moisturizing balm after the shave. I ended up selling them.

If someone is looking for a top- notch tallow soap, Valobra made ones are some of them.

Valobra makes excellent soaps. I currently own C&S No. 88 and several AoS Sandalwood tallow and both perform marvelously. I had Valobra Patchouli but ended up selling it without using it because the scent wasn't what I was looking for. If and when I get through all these AoS pucks I will likely purchase a few more Valobra branded pucks as the C&S scents aren't that exciting to me either (but the performance is).

That is correct, the soaps with the words Art of Shaving (sans oval) are the tallow based soaps made in Italy by Valobra. The newer soaps, which are made in the USA have the Art of Shaving with an oval surrounding it (to match their company logo). I have not tried the newer, non-Valobra soap but have heard good things about it too.

I have the current non tallow AoS in Sandalwood. It's easily the best sandalwood I've tried, followed by Gentleman's Hangar. The performance is good but not on par with my favorites.

One of my absolute favorite shave soaps is Valobra unscented! Top tier soap in my opinion
