Last year a friend gifted me a large chunk of this Italian soft soap and I just wanted to point out that while we rant & rave about hoidy toidy artisan soaps this one is a real gem. No fancy "boutique" scent, just raw shaving "horsepower". I have never used a soap that lathers better and has such good glide as this one and only a mere handful that do that as well. Years ago I had used a Valobra stick and once had an unscented puck as well. I like this soft version a little better, but that's purely subjective. I shaved today using this soap and a once used Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless in my ol' trusty Schick Krona and there was zero resistance. Like using Teflon on oiled glass. I will only add that for me post shave effect is meaningless as I wash with a cleanser post shave and where I live you are sweating like a whore in church within minutes of leaving home anyway.  Rolleyes  So, if you want an old school Italian soap that shaves like a dream (and doesn't smell like almond/marzipan) then look no further.   Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
