1) Wizamet Super Iridium (95% I am using this blade, works perfect with every razor I tried)

2) Gillette Silver Blue
3) Gillette Platinum
These two are the best wizamet alternatives

4) Feather (For medium aggressive razors)
5) Kai (With mild razors)

CHSeifert: great to see you again! Glad you're back in the land of the double-edge razor.

Here's my list of favored blades:

  1. Astra Superior Platinum – I like how thin and flexible these blades are. They slip right in to any razor and give me at least five great shaves.
  2. Feather Hi-Stainless – Still the best choice for my Feather AS-D2 razor. In fact, they work great in all ultra-mild razors. In an aggressive razor, though, they can be bloodletters.
  3. Polsilver Super Iridium – For a long time this was my favorite blade in my Rockwell 6S razor. Nice combination of smoothness, closeness, and durability.
  4. Tatra Platinum – These may soon replace the Polsilvers as my best blade in the Rockwell 6S. They're very comfortable.
  5. Bic Chrome Platinum – I save these for my mildest razors. They're very sharp.

You may also find the following Web site useful. It lists blades by their sharpness and durability, and it helps me find blades that best suit each of my razors.

For my aged face, this blade works in mild and ferocious razors.
(I previously thought that Astra SP was the best.)

Seems the best part of using Permasharp is that you only need 1 blade.
Do these even come in multiple blade packs?
For traveling, do Permasharp users just wrap the blade in wax paper?
