Upcoming ATT Windsor Pro

It says $144 for polished SS Windsor. $72 for Aluminum. The new prices are 25% less than previous releases.

I'm looking at the prices US competition is charging, see Carbon,  Blackbird and H&S prices for high polished machined SS razors ($220-$250).

I might be in the minority, but I would rather pay $200 for a razor made in the US than $145 for one made in China.

I was a union Ironworker for 20 years, the small pension pays my mortgage. I worked with a guy who, when the contractor complained he wasn't making money, would say, "If you can't afford to be in business get the (expletive deleted) out." In my 71 years I've seen the 'American Dream' disappear because of entrepreneurs and politicians selling the American worker down the river and 'offshoring' our jobs.

People born in the last 50 years probably think latchkey kids, working mothers, and people needing two jobs to make ends meet is normal. At 40, due to injuries sustained over the years ironworking I had to hang up my spud wrenches and learned to tattoo.

Worked in street shops as a pro tattooer for 23 years before retiring 6 years ago. In all those years I never saw a Chinese factory worker come in and spend his money in our shop. Buy American, the job you save may be your own.

It’s always sad to see work here in America get off-shored. Even if the particular shop has other work and is still expanding it’s still a net loss for an industry already in trouble.

Perhaps he could do both and offer American made razors along side the foreign made and let customers decide.

It's not just manufacturing.  I'm in IT and a lot of jobs are going offshore in my field as well.

ATT can rightfully be credited with being a key innovator (if not THE innovator) of affordable machined SS razor design. And IMO, the original is still the best - the H1 head design and resulting shave experience are top shelf. SE1 is an AC RAD killer against which all others are AC razors are measured.
I don’t think customers want to pay an extra $40 for a razor because a company is trying to be different or innovative (as self-defined) with other products. They’ll pay an extra $40 for a well designed, high quality razor.
I’d rather have a US-designed ATT razor manufactured overseas than no ATT razor at all. Just my $0.02. . .

Calypso SB90 Polished Aluminum Windsor Pro is pretty nice looking.

I don't know how SB90 can be the smoothest DE razor in the world.
But for sure Windsor Pro in Calypso model is an eyecatcher.

With the covid situation going on and the disastrous ramifications the humanity as a whole has faced, I'm thinking twice before buying a chinese product. It's not just the jobs and plants etc that are going gone. Look around you. On purpose or not, they are the ones to blame. Either they like eating bats and rats or they created as a mass weapon, I don't know the truth, but they brought it to every nation, this destroyed the global economic system and they didn't let every nation know on time to take precautionary measures. This is the most important thing to consider IMHO.

Yes, thinking twice it doesn't mean I won't buy anything that it's made in China because it's very difficult. If I stop using any chinese product, I'll have to bin so many products I use in my daily life. We all own chinese products. Parts of our favorite items are made in China nowadays. This is the world we live in. By thinking twice, you check for alternatives. If you are able to find one, good for you.

Still not interested in politics. The covid19 situation is not politics. It's a matter that affects our lives, our health. Health is the most important and priceless thing a human has. Without this, you have nothing. Absolutely nothing. I blame China because it came from them, on purpose or not. I can't be sure, I don't have facts showing any evidence. The last few months, I care much more about a product's origin. And all makers are obliged by law to provide this info. I care more nowadays seeing the disastrous effects our planet has seen. And this is not politics. I have met Chinese people in real life, I have nothing against them as individuals. I'm not a racist. Covid19 though is a chinese "product".

Enjoy your razor and stop having obsessions with strangers. This will get you nowhere. You will be ignored from now on because I've already spent too much energy.
