Good point. Probably because the study is mainly focused on materials while aiming to reduce any other still unclear variable I guess.
More efficient cutting technique “should” lead to an increased durability by itself - or at least that’s what I’d think too. But the only small reference about this apparently suggests the opposite: “For instance, in slicing vegetables, a chef might consider cutting straight down, rather than at an angle”.

I don't think I ever left a blade in a razor even back in the 90s when I was using Parker TTO razors. I always take apart the 3 piece rszors, 2 piece adjustables, and all the single edge razors. My bathroom is a pile of parts lol
