TSE Rants Episode #1 - Hyperbolic Soap Descriptions

If that's his contribution to the forum, then so be it. Nobody is forcing you to watch the videos. You can just ignore them and maybe not chastise others for doing so and discussing.

I do understand your point about people signing up for forums just to use the B/S/T though. That is bad form for sure.

I see him using the forum, or anyone for that matter, the same as people who sign up to sell.

With video blog links, unlike written communication, posts and discussion, there is no filter or easy way to see what is being discussed. I believe that was the issue elsewhere.

As has happened a few times and discussed here with regards to his videos, sometimes they are NOT forum appropriate and likely in violation of the forum rules.

I don't always have the opportunity to check out TSE vids posted. If you do see content that is in violation of the DFS code of conduct, please report and we will take a look.

I look at his videos from time to time and find them entertaining and mostly innocuous. I'm not the first to say it but if you have a problem with his videos, a particular member of a fora, news outlet, etc then it's really easy to ignore. Of course, if you want to get yourself all riled up the by all means keep looking!

I've gone so far as to block certain members (although not here) because I didn't like what they had to say - mostly because I found them to be trolls and had no need to engage in a conversation with them.

While the responses on this thread have amused me, I really don't understand the TSE bashing - the man's got a right to make videos, DFS permits him to post them and you have a right not to watch them.

Why do people still watch these videos, talk about them here and why does DFS even allow them to be posted. TSE only uses this forum to link his videos and offers zero contributions to it outside that. Now I see why TSN stopped allowing video blogs to be posted and he left.

Just stop watching and talking about them here and there would be a lot less name calling and personal attacks.

Yes sir!!! Seems people are so damn sensitive these days. Dishin it but refusin to take it!!! It's a regular Tizzy Fest!!! Hooyeah!!!

Some it seems are very full of themselves, self righteous and all that rot. I see nothing wrong with TSE sharing his thoughts via video. It's looking like if you don't tow the DFS company line, you are open to veiled attacks. I'm beginning to doubt this place is any different than the other forums and groups. 'Tis a shame really.

So if the TSE (or any other) point of view isn't in line with yours? Don't read it, watch it or respond to it. But to call his beliefs, thoughts into question? You guys that are ganging up on him should be ashamed of yourselves. Grow up!

Hmm? I didn't see a lot of folks ganging up on him. Some people had opinions about what he had to say, I'm sure that is to be expected. I think there was some discussion about his video and his message, but I wouldn't use the word "ganging up" on him. Relax man. I think Chris is trying to make a little buzz for his channel and that's alright, I find a lot of his old videos informative and entertaining and I don't think he is a bad person for it. It would be nice though if he participated in this forum so we could also have a discussion with him and share some ideas and insights.

I didn't see any ganging up either. As long as it doesn't descend into meaningless personal attacks, people are allowed to openly voice their opinions, and that's precisely what makes this forum different from others. torrid, voicing objections to the content or presentation of a video is not necessarily equivalent to "veiled attacks".

If you post a video, you are inviting a response. If people don't like it or have an issue with some aspect of the video, viewers are welcome to respond, and so is TSE. I'm betting he'd say the same thing, perhaps something along the lines of "I don't have any use for those people" .

I've always seen TSE as a controversial figure that encourages free speech as much as he exercises it. I respect that, and I respect him for it.
