I would say the T3 has a bit more backbone than the tuxedo knot (which already has more backbone than the plisson style knots).  it splays super easy and doesnt hog lather at all.

I have T3 and Shavemac, I found they are almost same brush. Same hair, similar density, loft, knot size..
They both great. But T3 comes with a very reasonable price.

Epsilon SIlvertip Fibre and Chubby 2 are very similar. They both have very soft thin hairs and high backbone; but it is a bit hard to splay them.

Evo is my #1 synthetic brush.

Looking forward to hear your reviews.
Very nice lineup!  Just curious,  what attributes make the EVO your favorite?  I cant wait for my EVO to arrive.

#1 is Evo, #2 is T3. Difference is not significant. Both hold similar amount of water, and similar backbone. I just found Evo has a bit softer hair, and feeling on face slightly denser.
I believe I can make excellent lather with Evo quicker than any brush I have.
But I used Evo over 50 times, T3 maximum only 5 times.

What is the actual size of the knot?

Just got the Simpsons chubby 2 synthetic. I will update if my view changes after using it more but I think I prefer the T3. Question - do you know why the chubby 2 synthetic costs 3 times more than the T3? Similar handle and the T3 is a bigger knot.

Three main differences:
• synth fiber
• turning process
• resin
Actually, they play in different leagues.

I've tried the Simpson CH2S, and I did not liked.
Too strong, not easy enough as other synths I love.
A great brush, if you like that kind.
Not for me.

I've not the Trafalgar.
I've another Gen4, the Vielong Extra Soft.
As Frank Shaving G4, with a good setting, this family is outstanding.
Specially about the q/p ratio ... and Simpson looks to be the best at the moment !!!

I believe they have different fibres for the knots. The Chubby 2 has the more 'premium' ones. I've yet to try synthetic fibres quite like the Chubby 2. Of course, this is all quite subjective.

Thanks. Very interesting. Do you know how the 2 fibres are different?

Not all CH2 synths are alike. I don’t know this for sure, but I suspect some people in the factory tie better synthetic knots than others. I have owned 4 of them and they have run the gamut from unpleasant (too much backbone) to totally killer. Sometime I should post pics of the two I have now. I strongly suspect the knots were tied by two different people. One is pretty good, but the other is outstanding. I wish there was a way to guarantee a knot like the outstanding one every time. I’ve seen others with similar knots.
