Pulled the Diamondback from the shipping box to have a reminder shave with it to compare to the Yates "H" Plate razor. While I prefer the mirror polished looks of the DB I in all honesty prefer the shave of the Yates razor. Gotta clean/disinfect and repackage the DB for when/if it sells. Back to the Hybrid plate until the H gets back to me. Can't wait to hear Frank's Dragonsbeard thoughts on it.

In no particular order my current rotation:
- Taiga: the smoothest of them all and possible the most effective with the OC plate. Only downside it's merciless if my skin is not perfectly smooth, as a result I cut myself more often than with the others. If the blade exposure was slightly negative I would not use any other razor ever.
- Poor man's AS-D2: with a SS handle my uncle's ball end aluminum tech makes for a lovely razor that glides on my face and allows me to buff as my heart desires. It's my travel razor and I use it from time to time, not only for sentimental reasons but because it's something special to be so well shaven by a tool older than I. Unfortunately it's unbalanced and I have been eyeing the AS-D2 now and then, for no good reason really so I shall resist.
- Rockwell 6C: a surprise addition, I'd bought it for my traitorous son's birthday who defected to electric shaving before I could sway him for good. It has been sitting around for a long while and after reading yet another glowing review I couldn't resist opening the box to try it. And it turns out I really enjoy it. I can spend a week shaving daily on plate 4, my skin could never tolerate any other razor with that blade gap. The razor is certainly worth all the praise it gets, I prefer it to the Variant who was my reference for a quite some time and which I have now ghosted like an old flame.
