I am not certain if you are aware, but Cold River soaps has been producing an olive-oil-based soap for a couple of years, now, and it has been quite well received, from my understanding.
It is great to see how many options of great soaps that are available.  Smile

I have a Stubble Trubble 100% vegan shaving soap that I find excellent.  I have two Sudsy Soapery soaps, both of which RayClem mentions, and I find them excellent, as well.  Sadly, as Ray mentions, even excellent soaps can have ingredients that may not be good for particular individuals and thus cause discomfort.  It becomes a case of trial and error but with all of the wonderful soaps out there, both tallow and vegan, there is something for all of us.

This thread started about the time that Damn Fine Shave came into being and it's great to see the subject revived because shaving soaps continue to evolve so I'm always learning something new.
