I use the GEM PTFE coated blades, made by Personna, and delivered in Personna packaging.  The Razor Blade Co and Connaught's are two sources for the Personna blades.  Connaught's are shown in Personna packaging, and the RBCs I had delivered to me came in Personna packaging.

I am not familiar with the Ted Pella blades, and Dave in KY may know more than I do about the various GEM blades.  The blades may be identical, even though differently branded, or Dave may simply prefer the Ted Pella blades.  Just don't be confused by the third photo in the ebay ad, which shows a package of Personna blades, whereas the ad title and text indicate Ted Pella loose blades.

And Dave - I know you are listening, so thanks in advance if you have something to teach me here about the Ted Pella blades.

There have been debates over the years and I honestly do not know if they are the same. I do know the seller that I linked and have dealt with him. I don't see him misrepresenting what he is selling and the best way to get an accurate answer would be to ask him. He is on multiple forums and perhaps even this one. I was just showing a source. Upon looking the ones I have are the Gem in the black plastic dispenser. Sorry if I created any confusion. If I need any more I will no doubt be ordering from him the Gems he clearly shows labeled in the pic. The positive reviews on the blades seem to support what he is selling too.

Ted Pella PTFE Stainless GEM blades are almost certainly Personnas. In fact, sometimes when you order from TP they will send you the full Personna plastic sleeve. Ted Pella is not a blade manufacturer as far I know and there is only one maker of GEM blades - American Safety Razor Co (which owns Personna, Treet, GEM, etc.).

Thanks Dave.  BTW I did not mean to create a stir.  As for the seller, techichi_shave, you don't have to convince me.  I bought a plate and a razor from him off the bay on two separate occasions, and I would be happy to buy from him again.  I didn't think to make that clear the last time.

Probably. I got mine at Ace Hardware for .86 cents, just be sure to get the SS
