You are making this very challenging, for me, Alex. Knowing that we, both, greatly enjoy the Blackbird and Weber DLC, now, with your statement, I'll have to acquire this razor. Here I had thought I was done buying razors. Smile

Here is the deal: if you happen not to like your new Ti Blackbird, I will buy it from you!

Dammit, I also keep pondering the Ti version. I tried SS (2nd hand) back not long after initial release, and it didn't agree with me (more blade feel than I prefer as a daily shaver). However, I keep trying to convince myself "Ti will help ameliorate that!!" Yeah...sure, hahahaha. Sticking to the resolution I made in June to not buy a new razor until/unless Shane releases an injector hasn't been difficult for me until these past few weeks.

Not in the same predictment as you, as the Blackbird is probably my favourite razor. I just need to justify the price, to myself. Smile

Since I already have five BlackBirds, I had the same problem before deciding to pull the trigger on the Ti version. And I am delighted to report that this purchase was one of not too many when I did not feel any buyers remorse whatsoever. With every use my appreciation of the new Ti Bird is only growing. It is also fun to alternate between the Ti and other materials and finishes Birds. Different but equally pleasant experiences and the results are always stellar.

Would "a while" be 2 months? 6 months? A year?

I don't want to be dismissive, but I really don't have an ETA. As soon as I get some indicator I'll gladly share that with you guys. I promise!

Will the polished Ti be a permanent item or strictly limited run type situation?

It should be a permanent addition. Of course, those following along know that polished razors have been come-and-go due to everlasting supply issues. I’m optimistic that we’re getting that resolved now, but I’ve also felt that way before. Fingers crossed!

I hope things go the smoothest for you. Thanks, for the information.
