That's the only reason I wear my watches when I do, conversation pieces. Otherwise, my phone do just fine.

Well hrfdez, you're just begging us to ask: what are the special watches you kept? And really none of their names can be spelled without pictures. :-)

I don't post pictures of my watches or my family, lol.....There are things in my life that I don't share on the internet. :-)

Very much respect that! Glad to hear you have some pieces your cherish, though. Enjoy them!

I don't consider myself a collector but have a few watches. I do think the mechanical timepiece did a tremendous amount to change the world, arguably one of the most significant impacts to the world of any.

I do like mil style watches and wear them the most, particularly automatics, but have a few that are precious:

1. the Hamilton my grandfather wore in WWII
2. the Bulova Astronaut that my Dad wore through his service in Vietnam
3. Tag Heuer that was the first "nice" watch I ever owned

I am one of those that do wear a watch daily and like the "off the beaten path" options out there like MKII, CWC, etc. but any watch is a friend of mine Smile
