I’ve been using Feathers in the .68 OC, and this combination is SMOOOOTH! I’m able to get BBS with three passes and some touch up under my jaw line. My shaves don’t last as long with the .68, but it definitely fits the bill when my skin is feeling sensitive.

Sounds exactly what I’m looking for... I better get on over to Timeless website.

Thanks to @ShaveMD/ Mark who sold me his with both baseplates I had my first shave with the Timeless Bronze OC yesterday and as far as efficiency to me it is definitely more efficient than my .68 OC and falls close to my .95 OC. With that said it has more blade feel than both of the SS razors. I attribute this to the more blade forward design of the razor head. Also I find the angle is not the same as either SS model but I found the sweet spot very quickly and I believe this is very important when using this razor which is very much like a Tech. It's not a big window so you have to be spot on for those of you that know what I mean. With that said I had a great 2 1/2 pass BBS shave without any irritation. I used my skin stretch short stroke technique which I always use when shaving with very efficient razors. I also liked the glide the head and finish displayed during the shave and the lather moved through nicely. With this shave
For this shave I used Declaration Grooming Buffalo Tallow soap Bandwagon which I find offers great cushion and glide. The blade I used was a once used Kai which I find almost as sharp as a Feather but it's smoother on my face. I'll try the .38 SB for a buff up shave one day when I have just a little growth as I've read so much about how it's milder than the .68 SB so that's about all I'd use it for.
Overall I'd say the Bronze is not a mindless use razor and demands some attention and knowing where the sweet spot is and keeping it there throughout the entire shave. So for me, I really liked the way the razor looks and shaves! For me it was both smooth and efficient and I look forward to some nice shaves with it. I'll try a Polsilver and then a GSB just to see how the shave is affected by using different blades.
I think Timeless would be smart in the future to come out with a dual plate maybe with a . 54 to 60 blade gap. It may have more mass appeal than either of the two other baseplates. Just my 2 cents.

Great review. I think with 0.5 or 0.6 gap I’d have kept my SB bronze

Dragonsbeard I am glad you got a great shave. Great review. I too liked the razor but as you know I’m trying to keep my numbers more manageable and I didn’t find myself reaching for the bronze

I had the 0.68 OC, and I have the Bronze.

I agree with your view of the Bronze being aggressive. It is.

In my case, I found the OC even more aggressive due to the extra blade exposure through the comb, and, despite that plate's roundness.

The larger radius Timeless uses on their plate edges really make for a comfortable and effective shave. However, quite a bit of that contact edge is lost in the comb gaps.

Therefore, the SB, and even the scalloped plate is MUCH smoother for me.

The blocky Bronze doesn't have that rounded edge at all, which actually brings the blade closer to the skin, making the shave more aggressive than a blade gap of 0.38mm would imply.

I'd rather go over an area several times with a much smoother razor, than cover it once or twice with one perhaps more efficient...but much rougher feeling.

Just my experience so far...

So I got my 68 OC stainless. First shave was awesome! Almost as close as the 95 SB scalloped I have and no irritation at all. Super smooth feeling. Way more efficient than the Bronze and my face feels better too. Clearly this design is better for me. really happy I added the 68 OC in place of the bronze.

Edit: I think my 95 SB will be the go-to for the comfortable BBS shaves and the 68 OC will be a daily driver seeking DFS and great comfort. This combination my obsolete my other razors, honestly.

Not quite on topic with the bronze oc but with all the feedback how does the. 68 oc compare to the. 95 scalloped and the bronze sb? I found the bronze sb more efficient than the .68 scalloped. I love the smoothness of the. 95 scalloped but as others have said, its too much for a daily driver, wondering if the. 68 oc might be the ticket.

I find the .68 OC perfect as a daily driver... I believe it's more efficient than the Bronze SB but also more comfortable and less likely to cut (not that the Bronze SB draws blood easily but I have heard some complaints). Another perfect option as daily shavers imo is Timeless Ti .95... If the SS .95 is too much for daily use, give the Ti a try... it's more comfortable and damn near as efficient imo. Another great option as a daily driver is Charcoal level 2. So many great options these days!!
