Tiki Bar Soap

Are there any users/fans of Tiki Bar soaps. They were a big hit when they first showed up on the scene. I have a few and although not my favorites, they are quite good. I'm curious what happened to their fan base.

I placed an order and never received a shipment. After emails, PMs, etc. I had to file a claim with PayPal to get my money refunded. I would not recommend ordering from them directly.

They posted a blog entry back in mid-June explaining what was going on, acknowledging the issues, and announcing their plan for the future.

Had a couple samples I got in a trade, was not impressed on scent or performance. Probably won't be buying any, there's too many great soaps out there to mess around with mediocre stuff.

According to their current blog they are closed until September to clear out all back orders etc. Their soap is outstanding( I have 23 variations! ). They upset a lot of people in the past but I never had a bad experience. I hope they come back strong as they have a fine product.

PAA has 5 scents in stock of the vegan formula 4oz size. Based on reviews of the customer service at Tiki I would only buy from a merchant.

IMO they haven't kept up performance wise and the customer service? What can I say.

I would normally not comment on an issue like this but even though I didn't have an order with Tiki, I grew frustrated at how people in the community were being ignored in regards to emailing/twittering/IG/facebook messages to find out what was going on. I did read the blog post when it came out but it was still something that is hard to grasp from the outside how it couldn't have been handled more professionally.

I have 3 of their soaps that I was given in a PIF back in November. The performance is reasonable but the scents aren't great.

Given history as a guide I will never purchase direct. I might buy from vendors in the future but I don't trust purchasing direct...
