Dan, is there any reason why he doesn't offer those with 2-Band knots? I have only seen them with 3-Band ones.
They surely have to be some of the most beautifully made handles I have seen. Nonetheless, they are just too expensive for me, but they would look so good in some SOTD pics. Shy

I don't think there is a compelling reason, but I never asked if a two band would be available and that's because I chose to purchase already made brushes. He is good at responding to emails if you are curious. PM me your address and I'll loan you one for a couple of weeks.

Thank you for the kind gesture, Dan, but I can't accept such a lovely and expensive brush to use as that would require shipping internationally. Also, I know the knots will be a bit too small for me and won't have as much backbone as I am accustomed to. However, I do greatly appreciate your gesture.
If I ever consider getting one, I will contact him about a 2-Band knot. Shy

I think keeping the brushes paired exclusively with silver tip knots is part of the strategy for the price tier or intended premium experience. In talking with Marco months ago, he shared some info and pics about the knots and it was a pleasant string of emails. I am a knot guy. I don't buy brushes for resins or handles. Marco shared how the knots are assembled and tied in Italy (Florentine I think) and done in a very clean, hygienic environment. He mentioned it goes through a sterilization process (as I am sure almost all badger hair does), etc, etc. I was glad that he was a bit transparent and happy to share detailed info on his product process.

I also feel like there are some very nice 2 band knots, 1 on the market, 2 that I like and used to have. But I personally have found using 3 band or silver tips with the thirsty soaps I like are compatible and that I am confident that performance won't be an issue. I'm not saying 2 band is inferior, but simply stating my preference for thinner hair knots vs backboney type hair.

Doc47 Did Marco recommend that you condition the handles or are they sealed after they leave his hands?

They are beautifully sealed by Marco. I haven't needed to do a thing.

Zac, I understand your preference for 3-Band hair in these lovely handles and I still have two Chubby 2 Super knots in two custom handles that I enjoy using. However, my preference, nowadays, is for the larger 2-Band Bulb knots.
Both of these types of knots have their own particularly wonderful characteristics that I enjoy, greatly and I have never had any issue with using any knot with any soap.  Shy

Well, Marco just saved me a bunch of money. He got back to me and told me that he can't make anything but a 26mm or 30mm brush. I wanted smaller (20MM).
