The Viking's Sword Stainless blade

I picked up a couple of Personna made in Israel Viking's Sword polymer coated stainless blades - mid-range pricing at $0.40 per blade from tryablade.com.  First off tryablade is great - great service great pricing great business model.  I'll buy blades from them again.

I used the Viking's Sword (I love saying that - who knows, might even be an Ulfberht sword) blade today in a Feather AS-D2 razor and B&M 42 shaving soap followed by alum block and cold rinse and a splash of B&M Bay Rum Kyovu.  A terrific Monday shave, but I digress.  I found the Viking's Sword to be a very nice, sharp blade comparable in the Feather AS-D2 to the Feather blades that are literally made for the razor.  

I think I will buy some more, after all, who doesn't need more Viking's Swords?

The Viking Swords are my blade of choice, sharp, smooth and comfortable.

I have never tried them but now feel a moral imperative to pick some up. Do they make a Thor's Hammer?

Most of the blades from the Israeli Personna factory have not worked well for me, but I tried Viking Swords recently and they are the exception. Definitely will be buying more.

I've been using the Viking's Sword all week and its been doing a great job.  Its been in the Feather AS-D2 and I'd like to try it in the Black Mamba and the ikon OSS to see if its a multi razor performer or a specialist blade like the Feather blades.  I find the Feather blades perform really well in the Feather razor but are a bit unwieldy in other razors.  I think time and technique help as well as I wouldn't recommend the Feather blades or razor to a new wet shaver.  The feather blade made me think of water-skiing back in my high school days. A friend had an old Maharaja wooden slalom ski that was a beautiful work of art but it was unwieldy and you had to know what you were doing and be laser focused to use it successfully otherwise you were doing a header - it was the feather razor with a feather blade.  Another friend had a big composite O'brien ski and it was really easy to get up on and manoeuvre on - it was the EJ DE89 with a bic blade, very forgiving and enjoyable with guaranteed results.  I'm sure I'm dating myself referencing wooden water skis!?

I'll definitely be buying more Viking's Swords to add to my rotation.

kwsher, I just used a Viking Sword for the very first time today and I must say that if I get longevity out of these blades then they are definitely keepers.  I got an incredibly easy BBS shave with the Viking Sword in my STAR DE, which is not an aggressive razor at all.
