I just plain flat out love this brush. Massive, soft with decent backbone and a Ferrari Red handle that I literally drool over every time I use it. But I have to be honest, using this brush to face lather is a brute. Lather goes everywhere but my face. It can be done, but the building process has to be done so carefully and gently. I'm a man for goodness sakes!! I like to take my brushes, load those bad boys up and go to town building that luscious creaminess on my face! This brush can do it but it's on your face, shoulders, ears, sink and mirrors........ Not very good, especially when SWMBO happens to walk in and is terrified to see a lather induced Cyclops standing in front of her. Solution? The biggest lather bowl that I can fit comfortably in my hands but still wasn't cumbersome and allowed me to contain the lather making process right there in the bowl. PRESTO! I found it and it is just awesome. Copious amounts of creamy goodness that goes exactly where it's supposed to go, from bowl to face. This brush is just killer. And it has been tamed... Oh Yeah!

Thinking of picking one up for head shaving, but not sure about the handle. Do you hold it like a paint brush or does it fit in the palm?

The 400 style handles are really, really, really nice. Hold it like a fountain pen or a paint brush or a light saber or a baseball bat and it will still feel like it was made just for you. I can't promise the RazoRock version is absolutely as nice as the original but I doubt it could be far from it.

It fits very comfortably in by hands with the base of the handle right about at the palm for me. It is quite comfortable to be honest. I'm not a big man with huge hands, 6'-1" 200lbs and it works nicely. Face lathering can be a challenge with this leviathan of a brush, but it can be done very gently. It's a heck of a brush. It fits the bowl perfectly.

Did you receive your F 400 XXL Michael? Any thoughts on it yet?

Yes, they just came in the mail.

It's just massive! But oddly enough, it's very comfortable to hold-I think I'm going to try the 'pen' grip for loading and bowl lathering and a normal grip for face lathering.

I'm looking forward to trying it. There are several soaps in my den that are good, not great. I want to use them up. And I know just the brush to do that with Smile

I'm going to load the heck out of those soaps with this monster and have fun face lathering. When I come to my senses, I'll probably opt for a large bowl as you did.

Here it is next to the RR Hulk:

I have the smaller 400 with orange handle and I had to cut the handle down as I lather with the end of a handle in my palm. The baseball bat style grip didn't work for me. I loved the black synthetics and two were my daily drivers.......until I tried the Tuxedo style.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
