But like another member pointed out, when someone is offering a great deal that is well below retail for a pristine condition or like new item that they could get much more money for, no one really ever steps in to tell them they should raise the price. I think we should leave it up to the parties involved as the transactions are voluntary and mutually beneficial. Neither buyers nor sellers are stupid, we're all adults. Otherwise, get rid of the BST all together.

Actually, when something like that happens, very often you will see posts like, "Wow, that's a great price. GLWTS" suggesting that it is a bargain. The B/S/T is a large part of this and many other hobbyist sites but that's not to say that fairness shouldn't play a part.
Either way, it's a tough subject without an easy solution. Glad I'm not a moderator!

I was speaking as a member, not as a moderator. It really is my personal belief. You might be interested to know that, even though there are only four of us in that capacity, including the administrator, we do not always see eye to eye, even on this subject.
Perhaps what I am looking for is a sense of fair play without the need for specific rules. Sometimes, fair play can be a tough commodity to come by, though.
