HoosierShave, these are some fine soaps! Eufros Fougère, Stella Alpina, and Mike's Bay Rum are among my very favorites. I'm looking forward to your posts!

Now that you've introduced your excellent eleven, what's the next step? Will you rotate through them in any set fashion, or will you simply grab one each morning as the weather or your mood dictates?

And when you've finally slicked up an entire tub, will you bring up a replacement from the basement, or is the goal to exhaust the current eleven and then create a whole new line up for next year?

Sorry for the late reply Bouki...I've been on vacation and didn't log in over the past couple weeks.  And I doubt I'll be logging in much over the next week or two as well.  I have surgery scheduled for tomorrow and the doctor has already told me to expect 4 to 5 days in bed and 2 months for a full recovery  Sad

Right now, my plan is to simply grab one as the weather/mood dictate...it's been my preferred method for nearly seven years.  But I do have one more spot open (ahem Dragonsbeard / Sandalo Artistico Smile ).  Plus I have another 10 soaps that are in various stages of being finished (each is over 50%).  Those will be sprinkled in over the next year or so as well.  The biggest challenge for me will be to keep all the other soaps in the basement!

After using the travel setup for the past couple of weeks (Scheermonnik Delftse Donderslag soap, synthetic brush, and the Karve Overlander) it was nice to get to a "selection" of soaps and splashes.  I'm used to coming home to a WIDE selection...oh well, a little Sandalwood calmed the nerves this morning

HoosierShave, I sincerely hope all goes well with your surgery. That's quite a recovery. Take good care, rest well, and be easy. We'll miss you and look forward to your return when you feel up to it.

After 10 "no shave" days, you would think i'd be super excited to get back in the den and start using up the limited number of software at my disposal.  Well, no.  The surgery went well and the pain has been tolerable (unless I cough or sneeze) but i have a Jackson-Pratt drain.  The very thought of having to shower and shave with that thing just causes me angst.  The showering part has gotten easier the more showers I take.  But I still hadn't shaved until this evening.  So why did this evening?  Because apparently the magic number of "no shave" days is 8 or 9...that's when the Mrs will no longer tolerate the scratchy cheeks/lips and wont' kiss me anymore.  Well, I can't have that so I forced myself to get a shave in...thankfully Mike's was there to welcome me back Smile

Once they allow me to remove the JP drain, i'm hoping I don't have more than 1 or 2 consecutive "no shave" days!

It was somebody over on B&B who said "Load it like you hate it".
I started doing that to the Proraso Green croap, and now I rather like it.
