It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

Hmmm.... I don't know. This side profile doesn't really vibe with me. Weight distribution can be a bit off at first glance because of the small head footprint but, I could be wrong. Not as sleek and free flowing as I imagined it. The Vector holds a more fluid design with great aesthetics and balance. Still, the Amakuni could be a heck of a shaver. Just have to wait and see once reviews start coming in. I'm holding back until then.

Thank you in advance

I will put some thoughts together but I have not tested the final version, mine looks a little different and I expect the shave isn't the same either.

Trying to get a passaround from Tatara

I'm sure they will be open to it after Black Friday.

I can't talk about or share pictures of the early prototype I have but will do a full review once I have the final razor for a UK passaround. The prototype is a very smooth shave with all blades. Including some blades I don't really care for in other AC razors, e.g. Supers. The geometry and design has been modified for the launched razor. I can make some general comments but Tatara have asked me not to go into specific details of the prototype. Not everything was carried across to the finished razor. A number of changes were made based on feedback from myself and other testers.

I'll get in a few shaves with the prototype before commenting further.

Have a vector and love it. I also have a Muramasa and love it - my top two razors. One thing which strikes me about the profile view, apart from yes it Looking imbalanced, is that some people grab the handle at different points along the length. This would give a consistent hold no matter where you grab it.

I’m intrigued enough to maybe buy SS but probably only if there’s a sale. It might be nice to have a second AC razor to allow different blades to be used in the same shave (/different passes) without swapping. Otherwise I’m pretty stoked with my vector. First world problems anybody….?

I agree. That looks very weird, but the proof is in the pudding I guess...

I am disappointed by the look. They could have done better.

I had the same impression initially. However, I saw a video that the 3 owners posted on Instagram and seeing it at different angles and hearing them discuss it and such now has my curiosity piqued again. What is holding me back is that $250 USD price tag.
