Tallow + Steel

Ryan's scents truly are bold and untamed. I own most of the T+S scents. They are all very unique and well crafted. I honestly love all of them!

I would highly suggest Maggards for T+S if you can't get it straight from the T+S website.

I assume none of their soaps is close to a "powdery", "Barbershop" scent, correct?

Sorry but i have Morocco, west Indies and Maya and i am not going to buy no more Tallow & Steel.
Scents are worse than dark, rainforest, grog and classic, Where are that soaps ? , ohhh
I think presentation, label are better but scents are the worst soaps i have ever smelled. Sorry for my comments but this is what i think and what we think some people in Spain.
People told me Boreal is better but i don´t have patience to buy one after three bad scent soaps.
you had the best soaps of the world and now what do you have? ....

This is very unfortunate RUNRUL that you do not like the scents of the new T+S soaps, because their performance is off the charts! The new scents are not worse or better, they are just very different, and in my opinion are much more sophisticated than the earlier formula including limited editions. All of them are among my favorite, and I still have most of them with backups.

that is the key. All are different scents.

In 5 soaps may not like you one or two, but all...

In Europe like so much american and canadian soaps and shipping costs are high. 25$ for a soap + 10 or 20$ the shipping costs for "different soaps" is the key.

The previous tallow and steel were the best these are "different soaps" as you described.

To runrul: Completely understand! This is a perfect case of YMMV. In this kind of citations I do my best to only offer my personal opinion and avoid casting a blanket judgment. If something does not sit well with me I will say that I do not like it instead of saying that whatever it is is a worst thing ever because for someone else it could be the most beautiful object in the world. And I respect it!

As someone who has just about every T+S scent, I can say that they're not for everyone across the board but that can be said for many, if not most artisans. If you want something "safe" then try Classic, Grog, Shag, Y/R/P, West Indies or Boreal. Performance-wise, it's really among the best out there (old or new versions).
