Thanks for the shout out Todd. Looking good. Glad you are happy with my efforts.  The types of hold that you use. And direction of passes will evolve over time. They did for me anyway. Unlike you and many. I am hard headed and don't switch hands.  You are farther along than most (including me) on your third shave. One hold that may help. Could be to have the scales straight like a kamisori. Just a suggestion.
Have a good weekend. Look forward to your future posts/vids.

Nice job Todd!

You did have some gasp worthy moments as your hand started shaking here and there or you made adjustments with multiple rapid touchdowns. Sometimes your razor hand thumb would get dangerously close to the heel edge too. Just some precautionary things to keep in mind.

You do whatever works for you though man!

Thanks for the shout out...........................You know what creeps me out is why there are so few Todd's in shaving. Nice shave and you'll keep coming along as you have a determination and analytical approach to a challenge.

Ugh! I need to go back and watch that. By touchdowns I assume you mean the razor touching my face?

Well, there's Sweeny Todd the demon barber of Fleet Street so after him I'm not sure wet shaving can handle very many Todds  Big Grin

Could be just the angle but some of your hesitancy translated through to your hands, which made for some jerky motions and some very quick setting down and lifting motions of the edge very close to the skin. Yes, touchdowns would be when the edge is brought to touch the skin.

I mean clearly nothing bad actually happened but just something to be mindful of.

Your South to North strokes were indeed very relaxed and smooth!

Why are there so many Dave’s? You’re just lucky I guess.

That ad was awesome!

Nice work with the straight Todd. It may take a bit to find your grips and your groove. Just don’t give up. By my 25th shave, real progress was happening for me. Things just started to click and I wasn’t sure if I was doing anything different, but I was getting better results. Using two hands and developing that muscle memory was a big step for me.

A slick lather and skin stretching (along with a sharp edge) will be your best tools. I also started with DEs, so I do a 3 pass with an SR as well. Nice work!
