Surprisingly exceptional shave

This AM I decided to revive my old tub of Coates Almond Shaving Cream. Needless to say it is now basically a tub of hard soap, as we know Coates has been out of business for some years. But, wet the surface and it comes alive as with any hard soap. Used my Mergress set at 3 with a Polsilver Super Iridium and a Chubby 1 two-band brush. It was a super smooth two-pass DFS, no nicks, no blood no belly spasms. It is so nice when things come together (especially old things) to give a great shave. I was really pleasantly surprised.

I do it annually with Tabac. Solid performance but the scent is just not for me [or more importantly, my wife]. One day I hope to think: "Man, what was I thinking? This stuff is awesome!"

I just had one too....first time using a Schick adjustable injector razor M29 very impressed. Razor shaved me beautifully.

Kevin, I don't know what you're thinking now.  Usually you and I are on the same page scent wise but your persistent inability to warm up to Tabac baffles me.

Ah, now we get to the root of the matter. You must try the Jedi mind tricks, voodoo mumbo jumbo stuff with her, or you could just resort to your natural charm In any case, these are not the droids you're looking for.

kwsher , fear not, Tabac can be de-scented, but you have to act quickly. Leave is outside in the heat with the top off for 3-4 days and you'll be good.
