Summertime Chill Series: Monday, June 25 at 10am EDT

Tomorrow morning at 10am EDT, the Summertime Chill Series will go live at ChatillonLux.com. Orders are on their way to Maggard Razors, Top of the Chain and West Coast Shaving, but as you may have heard, there were a bunch of logistics problems that popped up for the packaging. Also, these are just Chatillon Lux products only. The way the menthol and alcohol in the aftershave affect the scent just aren't going to be replicated in a soap base and both Scott from Declaration and I agreed that we would not want to put out a subpar product, which would feel like we were selling our loyal customers short.

The aftershave base is designed to be lighter and refreshing for a hot summer morning, with a stronger, but not painful or bracing, dose of menthol compared to our regular aftershaves. Additionally, the formula is simply alcohol, witch hazel, aloe, fragrance and menthol.

Summertime Chill Series:

Colbeck Aftershave: reminiscent of a cold gin drink on a hot day, this was designed for ultimate refreshment. It contains the botanicals of gin and was inspired by this local (and delicious) gin.

Taum Sauk Aftershave: This scent is like inhaling deeply at the summit of Taum Sauk Mountain at the height of a Missouri winter, surrounded by cedars.

Taum Sauk Eau de Toilette: The eau de toilette version of this scent gives the same impression, but is more complex, using a deeper, richer Virginia cedarwood oil, while the cold air mixes an ozone accord with a barely perceptible touch of wintergreen and eucalyptus, bolstered by notes of fir and balsams.

There were some hiccups on the way, but it will be worth the wait. So far the Taum Sauk EdT has received rave reviews from those who have tried it or smelled it on me.
