Sudsy Soapery Pink Peppermint LE

So I got a random email for a soap sale and out of boredom I followed the link and saw a soap I didnt know they carried. Looks like it was an LE made just for this season. Some of the soaps and bath salts were 50% off so I picked up a few extras. I dont even see it on their site anymore. But since they are just an hour or so up the road, I got my pkg last night. I am still savoring last yrs LE called Jack Frost and wasnt going to miss a chance to own another. I havent used it yet, but it smells delish!

Since I havent seen a word mentioned of it here, I thought I would, so others would know that unicorns do exist!

Nice! Sudsy Soapery is a good deal even when it's not on sale, imo.

They do have some very nice scents. And lather easily. The base, unfortunately, is meh for me.....quite a few better options out there...YMMV as always...

Pink Peppermint slipped by my radar. Let us know how it smells, please.

As I used this for the first time, it reminded me of a long forgotten soap. After contemplating for a long while, and the help of the interweb, it dawned on me. It reminded me vaguely of an LE soap I used years ago, that of Green Mountain soap co called Nick's Red Jacket. I got my hands on it during the then highly anticipated Scent Off of 2013. (remember that?) The GM LE soap had good peppermint notes mixed in with a complimentary scent of Fir. The GM soap was the only soap I can remember using, up until now, that of appreciable peppermint properties.

But the SS Pink Peppermint is pure peppermint. And it is wonderful. There is really something to be said about soapers that can build a soap around a single dominant scent and knock it out of the park. This soap, like its maker, excels in its simplicity.

It is pure peppermint. Not only does it have one over riding scent of peppermint, it has a very pleasant and enduring cooling quality, that does not rely on menthol to provide this.

The performance is every bit like its cousin of Twice Mint. Aside from the scent, performance is near identical.

What I found odd, on first impression is the weight of the tub. While the tub is filled and level to the top, it is only a 4 oz soap, as compared to the standard SS weight of 5.5 oz per tub. I think this adds weight (pun intended) to the fact that this is in fact a super-creamed soap. With volume being the same, there is a weight difference. But it is an LE soap so this does not insult me one bit.

I dont know how many Sudsysoapery made of these but it is surely a keeper. Yes, it is a vegan soap, but as with all SS soaps, it punches well above its vegan weight class, on par with the heavy super-fatters of Mike's and Stirling. While I wont say never, I have to say you wont see this soap pop up very often on any BSTs. I for one will never let go of mine

I just used Pink Peppermint for the first time the other day and enjoyed it immensely as well. The peppermint was like pure candy cane peppermint to me and was very nice with the cooling sensation from the peppermint. It has been a little while since I used a SS product, but was reminded about how well it performs - slickness, cushion and post shave feel all excellent from a VEGAN soap. Pure blasphemy, right?
