If You have tried this soap, please describe the scent. Thanks!

I purchased both the balm and the shaving soap. After using it about 8 times, rotating with other brands, I found the soap slow to lather, and lacking in cushion. At first, I found the scent ok, but the more I used It the less I liked it. The scent seemed to last through most of the day and became unpleasant. I used the companion scented balm, which likely reinforced the scent strength. My wife likes the scent.

I found the balm to be quite stiff and needed to be smeared across my face, lumpy too. I don't think Sudsey Soapery offers this mix of balm anymore.

The aftershave feel of the soap was pleasant and not unlike other shave soap I have in my rotation.

I give it a 3 out of 5.

I have their Blizzard soap and balm, which I hope works out better for me.

It has been a few months since I used it, and it is in storage right now so I can't sniff to refresh my memory. I do remember that it makes a great lather and is a very good performing soap and splash.

The scent is not strong. It does not have a cologne-type scent, nor is it a soapy scent. If memory serves (and it doesn't) I might say it has a eucalyptus-like scent, and just a slight hint of a medicinal quality. Again, not strong or offensive. I liked the performance of the soap, and the aftershave splash has a soothing quality on my skin. I have no experience with the balm.

I've had nothing but tremendous success with all their soaps, as much as I HATE the word Suds.

Yes. As I remember, a famous wet shaver from Colorado had a tag line regarding the 7th law of shave dynamics " suds are not lather".
