Soap: Speick Stick
Aftershave: Ethos Melange D’Agrumes
Blade: Wizamet

Man, the .72 Lupo is a smooth and efficient son of a biscuit. And the speick stick is really somethin special as well!

Sorry, that is all I have time for this post. I’m running out the door to a special little place called “Lummi Island” with the family.

That's some gorgeous kit you have there!  BTW I know you like the La Toja cream, and you also seem to be interested in shaving sticks.  For future reference, La Toja has a stick too, and the packaging is well designed.  You can wipe the stick dry and put it back in the tube - very convenient for traveling.

And enjoy the family day out.  It sounds like a great place.

Yes! La Toja stick was my gateway into sticks!

I grate the stick into the premium PETG container that Maggard sells.

Wonderful product... and the Speick sure reminded of La Toja in lather quality.

Razor: Razorock Lupo .95
Brush: That Darn Rob - 26mm
Soap: B&M Reserve Cool
Aftershave: 4711
Blade: Wizamet

Good evening Gentleman of DFS and beyond.

Very enjoyable shave today. The .95 Lupo is noticeably more aggressive than the .72 and also more efficient, but also not as smooth. No surprise on any of that! I think the .72 is incredible and the star of the entire RazoRock line of razors. Buy one if you don’t already have it. The .95 is really cool too, but the magic is in the .72 in my humble opinion.

I believe the scent of Reserve Cool is based on Floid Blue. I could be wrong, but pretty sure I read that years ago. Great base, much like the Excelsior.... maybe a little more thirsty and “different” although I can’t put my finger on why.

I’m pretty sure Wizamet’s are the same exact thing as Polsiver blades. Love em.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll get back on the lathe and bust out something new. It’s been good to see my family, hit the beaches and take a break this weekend.

Meant to ask if you had an opinion of the Lupo 72 vs the Gamechanger - 68 and 84? The gap isn't the only stat, so I'm tossing both in the mix, as the 74 could well be more efficient than the GC84.

Thanks Paul!

Yes. I do.

I've owned all the Razorock offerings including the .68 and .84 Gamchangers. The .84 is good... but I seemed to get some rough shaves from time to time. I fell outta love with it pretty quickly, but I will say it was a ground breaking product at that price point back when it was released. They must have sold a million of em by now.

The .72 Lupo sure seems just as efficient to me, but wayyyy smoother. There is some blade feel, but it only helps me lock into the perfect angle. I think it would be hard for you to actually nick or cut yourself with this razor. It glides so easily on my face and I hardly have to do any touch-ups.

Just my 2 cents, but I think Razorock made a razor that is so good (.72 Lupo), it will render many of their other offerings sorta pointless... at least in my mind Smile
