Ooh, by the way, your brush asked if he could switch names. He wants to be Mr. Purple. He said, "That sounds good to me, I'll be Mr. Purple."
Did you get the .72 plate as well??

Awesome! I hope you like it. Personally, I believe the Lupo is the best bang for you buck in the wetshaving world. I mean, you can get a new stainless Lupo with both baseplates and a stainless handle for $108 shipped from Italian Barber. The .72 plate is magic for me... but I do like the .95 plate a lot too.

It went through 3 renditions. The last 3 pics are the final shape. I’m torn on whether I want to fully polish it, or leave it matte/satin (which looks really nice in-person, yet hard to photograph)…

Soap: Los Jabones De Joserra - Kush
Aftershave: Floid - Black

Really great shave this afternoon. I worked and re-worked “Plasmatic” until I was happy with it. Glad Mr. Doug talked me into a polished finish. The Synbad knot is a perfect match for the handle color.
Kush has a killer scent. Brighter and sweeter than I was expecting, but very well executed. This is easily my new favorite soap maker. Worth the crazy price of admission…
Enjoy your Friday evening Gentlemen.
Razor: Razorock Wunderbar
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts - “Skinwalker No. 1” 28mm Elite Knot
Soap: Los Jabones de Joserra - Viriato
Aftershave: Fine - Fresh Vetiver
Blade: Wizamet
I poured this handle blank a few days ago and turned it on the lathe last night. The shape came out out exactly as I wanted, but sadly the color pour/mix did not. You can also see some air white bubble dots in the polish which bummed me out. (I seriously need to order a pressure pot this week).
I’ll use this handle for a template and try again on the color. I was shooting for some deep desert-like colors, reminiscent of a very interesting ranch in NE Utah.
Viriato is a cologne scent, although I don’t know which cologne exactly… I was picking up on some Aventus vibes, but could be wrong. Performance was awesome, but I did feel a bit of burning at first… maybe from the fragrance oils. Not sure if I can keep this one which is a bummer since has an awesome scent and performance.
Happy Memorial Day Friends.
