Hub City on the way!  I had already zeroed in on Red Cabin myself, and picked up the splash with it, plus samples of Friday Night Lights and Chats With Grandpa.  The only thing missing is Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, and unless I can find a trustworthy sample, I'm afraid it's gonna stay missing for a while.

Red Cabin is definitely next on my list from Hub City.

Razor: Karve (C plate) w/ TiBam handle
Brush: Shavemac 2-band 26mm Fan
Soap: Declaration Tresmegistus
Aftershave: Lucky Tiger
Blade: Feather

Very enjoyable, close shave today. These products all just work so well together... love it when that happens.

The Declaration soap worked well, although I think the lather is a bit weird . It’s quite runny, but still works great. The lather was sliding right of my face at times. Slickness to a fault? Haha. I do enjoy the scent on this one a lot and post shave was excellent.

I like Lucky Tiger a lot for its healing properties and super light scent (I had to go to the office today, which means 8+ hours with a mask). Strong scents and face masks don’t mix!

Oh, and I included a neat photo of my son and I from yesterday evening. We are standing on top of what’s called Samish Overlook facing SW to the San Juan Islands in Western Washington. I feel so fortunate to live in such a scenic area.

Have a great day everyone.

Razor: Razorock Lupo DC
Brush: Thater 28mm 2-band
Soap: Seaforth Heather
Aftershave: RR King Louis Lavender
Blade: Feather

Tried some new items today. The Razorock Lupo DC and Seaforth Heather.

I can confirm that the .95 SB side of the Lupo is definitely worth the price of admission. It was very smooth for me and didn’t seem aggressive at all. The OC side was well, your typical Razorock OC. Nothing here got me too excited, but having the versatility is cool. With my DC’s, I start with the OC, then alternate sides for each pass. So: OC, SB, OC, SB

The soap also didn’t get me as excited as I had hoped it would. The scent is a dusty lavender just like Chatillon Lux’s Champs de Lavande . But the soap also smells really close to Gillette’s Shave Gel that I used back in high school. It was kinda a neat throw back for me, in a strange way. The lather was very good, but certainly not elite level either. Hopefully I’ll warm up more to this soap offering after a few uses.

Razor: RR Lupo DC
Brush: Elite 30mm 2-band
Soap: Seaforth Heather
Aftershave: Wholly Kaw Rebelle Balm
Blade: Tatra

This morning I used the same soap and razor as the previous shave... for science of course!

Man, the .95 side of the Lupo is really something special! Doesn’t feel aggressive at all to me, yet cuts darn close. Very impressive indeed.

The Seaforth soap is “good” stuff, but I’m not crazy about the dusty lavender scent that somehow reminds me EXACTLY of Gillette’s canned cream... Performance is good, but I have a pile of other soaps that clearly beat it. It will be off to the BST soon.

Tried a Tatra blade for the first time and really liked it. These blades are made in the Czech Republic and seem to be excellent quality!

After the shave, this furry guy wouldn’t leave me alone... must have been the tallow Wink
