I didn’t shave with this setup, but I thought it was a cool pic:

Is the second snap showing your stuff? (I presume, rather than you posting a photo you found online?!)

Yep. In fact , I got the razor from you!

Oh man, the gray matter is fading fast! I forgot all about that razor. I was thinking, Well, Paul is going to try a GEM. Color me Embarrassed, lol!

I’m out hitting the amazing antique shops here in western Washington this weekend and found some cool shaving stuff… Although my knowledge of vintage razors is not anywhere near Dave’s and others. Here’s a few pics of fun stuff I didn’t buy:

And here’s what I did snag… 2 Slims (one cased) and a Fatboy. I have an impossible time passing up these classics:

I would have taken the red Enders in a heartbeat for $14 ! What they have marked as a Gem Junior is a Gem Push Button......the black handled one......behind that it looks like another Gem or Ever Ready 1912 and a Kriss Kross. Nice scores !!

That green and yellow vintage brush looks like the one PAA modeled their Green Ray Tribble brush after!

Razor: Lupo .72 w/ TiBam handle
Brush: Trotter “Sea Glass” w/ G5A Knot (thanks again for the knot Eric!)
Soap: B&M Vespers
Aftershave: Fine - Italian Citrus
Fragrance: Dame - Herb Man

Mini Family Vacation out on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. This was the shave setup today. Traveling light!

We spent yesterday at Lake Crescent. Very scenic and we all had a wonderful time. Today we’ll hit our go-to Sea Glass hunting beach in Port Townsend then take the Ferry back home.

Have a great day everyone.

Razor: Wolfman WR1 (.80 gap)
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts w/ 26mm Manchurian T1 knot
Soap: First Line Shave - Illustrious Oud
Aftershave: First Line Shave - Illustrious Oud
Blade: Astra SP

To be honest, I'm a bit burnt out on buying new soaps/soap bases. However, this one has had my attention since I first spotted it. "Illustrious Oud" came to me in a trade and I was excited to use it last night.

It could be the coolest label I've ever seen. This is a very soft soap which lathered up quickly and easily. The scent is nothing short of amazing. Warm, complex, natural Oud. Mrs. Trot and Daughter Trot picked up on the scent too and questioned what this rich and exotic scent was. So yes, it is a stronger scent that has some projection. The lather and performance seemed nearly identical to B&M and was a joy to use.

Anyways, I thought I'd pop back into my journal and type some stuff.

Have a good one,
PT

Very cool looking label, indeed. Also that AS bottle... Is that bottle actually colored yellow and blue, or just a label?

Wow. Then they definitely deserve some sort of award for labeling. That's above and beyond in my book. So cool!
