Star Wars The Force Awakens

I have to say that I liked the movies LOTR and The Hobbit more than the books. The books were massive and with lots of characters that were difficult to keep track of. Many of the names were so similar that it was a chore to understand who was who at times. Part of Jacksons genius IMO was his ability to make the books easy to understand. Too, it was extremely easy to see and understand Tolkein's experiences in the trenches of WW1.

The family went to Star Wars yesterday afternoon at the imax 3D - I reserved our favourite seats a long time ago. It had some really great parts and that one surprise that really upset me. No spoiler from me but those who've seen it know what I'm talking about. The X-Wing battle scenes strongly reminded me of one of the very earliest arcade video games that I played back in 1984 where you had to fly into the death star and blast the target and get the hell out before it blew without getting blasted by a tie fighter or smashed off a wall. All in all a very enjoyable movie. Did you notice that while Han looked his age, Chewbacca hasn't aged a bit? Not one bit of grey fur. I want to know his secret.

Hi all. Watched it last Sunday in 3D with Dolby Atmos & it was amazing. Everything about it fantastic, can't wait for the next installment. My boy hasn't stop talking about.
