Floid Blue aftershave

This is one of the underappreciated great old soaps. It makes excellent lather and still has plenty of nice scent. It was 6.8 oz., equal to two regular pucks, and I found it for a low price on eBay. The aftershave worked quite well with it.

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,461

Today I was going to mark my since keeping track, 4 years wthout missing a shave. 4 years would include a leap year so 365 x 4 + 1 = 1,461. I had hoped to use some of my favorite equipment and do a video. On Friday afternoon my Dad (Stepdad but more a father than my father was) had an accident. He has relied on machines and medicine to keep him alive while sedated. At 84 with all the physical injuries even if he pulled thru it would likely not end well. His brain hemmorages are progressing and due to location are inoperable. They do not expect him to make it thru and the decision to let nature take it's course has been decided by the family and will be passed on to the staff today. I tried to do as intended for my shave but as I stood andwas selecting what to use my heart was not in it and I selected yesterdays exact same setup. Sorry to be a downer but today took everything to power thru and shave....no pic or video. This one was for you Dad........HUG your loved ones tight today !

Thoughts & prayers to you and yours shave bro-ham. Godspeed my friend to your loved one.

Pre: P.A.A. Cube 2.0

Razor: Blackland Blackbird
Blade: Eddison Super Stainless

Soap: P.A.A. Cavendish
Brush: Yaqi Black & White
Bowl: Bluff Cove Pottery

Post 1: P.A.A. Alum No-Slip Grip System w/ Dry Dock System
Post 2: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Deep Cleansing Astringent w/ Menthol & Eucalyptus
Aftershave: P.A.A. Gondolier
Post 4: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream Extra-Dry w/ Hyaluronic Acid

Again, dipping into the samples I have. Today's soap is Cavendish by Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements. This soap has a scent I like very much. It's a nice tobacco, woody, leather and vanilla scent. Don't let the notes fool you. The blend is exquisite.

Today's shave included the new Yaqi brush  I won recently. It whipped up the Cavendish easy peasy in my goto bowl.

Im on shave number 3 for the Eddison blade. It's still going strong, especially when matched with the mighty Blackland Blackbird.

A four-pass shave was had due to the shear love of the shave. The end result is a sweet bbs shave.

I topped this endeavor with some P.A.A. Gondolier aftershave. Wow! This stuff smells great. It's a very nice, bright, classic yet masculine scent. Absolutely worth checking out if you never have.

All in all I had a great shave. These P.A.A. samples continue to impress.

I hope you enjoy your shave as much as I did mine.

Until next time. Shave on gentlemen.
