The Coate's cream does not smell as good as the Sandalo soap, but it definitely improved the quality of the lather.

Tobacco Rose and r41
This was my first use of the vaunted r41 - I bought the head only from Maggard's and put it on my Rockwell 6s handle. It makes a formidable razor. The r41 sings at a lower pitch than the Vision or Futur, but is as efficient.  Things went smoothly at first, but there were some late appearing weepers and a little irritation on my lower neck. I'll go more even slowly next time. The soap is excellent, very slick and it leaves my face soft even before I applied the jelly. The scent is rose, tobacco, and spices - I may pick up the splash at some point. I really like vol 2 from Dr. Jon, so I had to try vol 3, and it is among the best vegan soaps I've used.
