Aftershave: Stirling Soap Company Executive Man

I had a fantastic shave today. Combining a Blackbird Dart with a Nacet blade plus some Stirling Soap Company Executive Man soap equals an infallible shave.

I don't use my Dart too often but it is a razor that I truly love. It's not a razor for an inexperienced hand but it's also not vicious. Some focus and attention plus a little skill and all is well. I have to say this razor really is a favorite of mine.

So it's that time of year again... Aventus August. And with this shave, I humbly submit my first of the month.

Stirling's Executive Man is a fine homage to Creed's Aventus and one that I always enjoy using. It's one of many choices out there in the category but if you're into Aventus, Stirling’s is one you should really consider!

I did a nick-free three-pass shave and was thoroughly pleased with the result. This combo was top-notch so it was smooth sailing all the way without any complaints to be had.

All in all a fantastic shave. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,733

So I wanted a chance to use the soap with a Synthetic brush to be sure I didn't over hydrate it with water fom the Badger yesterday. Nope, it's a typical Italian soap, which isn't bad.....it's just different. It's a thinner lather and by the 3rd pass can get an airiness and drying effect. If you add more water, it thins out to a disappearing act. It just is what it is. It still does the job and actually gives a nice cleanly rinsed feeling after the shave which I like. I like soft skin but not if it means my skin feels oily or like it has a coating/film on it. I like the scent which isn't so strong that it is in your face but it is there when you pause to think about it and is a pleasant Almond with just a touch of Cherry. Another positive is the LARGE diameter ceramic coffer which is artistic in itself too. It holds the massive 250g (8.8 oz) of soap. Factor all this with the luxury feel and you have to decide for yourself if it is worth the price. I like nice things but am frugal too so I'm on the fence on it's worth to me. Am I glad I got it ? Yes, thanks Tommy TommyCarioca I would always be wondering about it and close to pulling the trigger as I was up until I did. No more wondering. Time to just enjoy it for what it is. Hope all have a great day !
