That Bald Guy with the Big Beard
Bishop, CA
I got a 2-fer tonight. I couldn't get my card reader to work last night, so I couldn't share a photo. Tonight it worked fine so I'm gonna share both...

Last Night:
Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood
Maggard's 24mm synthetic
Crown King scuttle
Gold Dollar 300
Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood splash

I got this razor, along with a couple strops, and a Phoenix shavette, in a trade recently. I definitely feel like I got the better end of the deal on this one. The razor came to me with a pretty decent edge on it, so a few trips on the strop and I had myself a really nice shave. I did my 3rd pass and touchups with the MR-V3.

Tonight:
Mickey Lee Unforgiven
Maggard's 24mm synthetic
Crown King scuttle
Geneva Cutlery Extra Hollow
Royall Lyme splash

I really like this razor. One of the strops that came last night had some green chromium oxide paste on it, and using that and the hard and soft leather strops, I managed to put a really, really nice edge on this razor. Tonight is the first time I have made it through a complete shave, 3 passes and my touchups, all with the straight. I have a couple spots that are not really clean, but these spots have always been problematic. It took time to get them comfortably clean with both DE and SE razors, so I see no reason why straights should be any different. Overall I have a very clean, comfortable shave. Not quite to DFS standards just yet, but I am on my way...

With much gratitude to Nathan (Merkur Man), without whose help I would not have been able to acquire this soap. A big thank you, my friend.
