After the snow yesterday we are treated to rain today. Another excellent shave today. The Route 66 The Perfect Gent is a clean, masculine fragrance with citrus notes of yuzu, bergamot and lemon; mid notes of peppercorn, ginger, jasmine and a hint of peppermint. Anchored by essential oils of cedar, vetiver, labdanum, frankincense and patchouli.
Handcrafted traditional shaving soap formulated for a long lasting, slick lather, protective cushion and glide, and soothing post shave conditioning.

My 2nd attempt at clipping the GEM blade so it can lay flat and lock in was much better. No movement from the blade at all this time. I got a very close shave, but it did come with a few weepers. Not nearly as many as I had on my first attempt where the blade was moving around, but still more than I get from the smiling GEM.

The Chatillon Lux aftershave healed me right up and I think that the Bon Vivant is my favorite scent of those I've tried.

I will try a few more shaves on this blade and I will palm strop it some more to see if it smooths out and eliminates the weepers. If not, I will be sticking with the smiling GEM as not only is it less hassle but so far it is a better performer too.

I have been on the road Brian and catching up but glad that you enjoy the CL AS blends.

My favorite of the bunch thus far is also the Bon Vivant. Almost addictive. I have it in the original formula but can't wait to spin some up per the custom mix with some menthol!
