SOTD-29jun16:
Chatillon Lux Pre-Shave Butter
The Single Edge / Personna
Vie Long Silvertip Beehive
Sapone Di Paolo Bosco
Swiss Pitralon

This is the 2nd scent of Sapone Di Paolo shaving soap that I have tried this week. Actually, in as many days if you are watching the SOTD thread. I have one more scent to go in my possession and that may very well be used in my next shave. I am once again amazed at the performance that an artisan soap maker can squeeze out of such a simple ingredient list. The only way this soap could be easier to whip into a slick, cushioning lather was if it were lather in a jar instead of soap! I certainly don't have any buyer's remorse for picking up these three shaving soaps. I may just have to pick up the Cremoso scent now.

Blade: Feather Professional (1)

Brush: Omega Professional 10098 Boar

Soap: Route 66 Retro Spice

A/S: Old Spice Fresh Lime

A great early shave today. The big boar brush whipped up the Route 66 Retro Spice into an amazing lather. The Retro Spice has top notes of orange, sage and lemon over a lightly spiced floral heart and a base of vanilla, cedarwood, frankincense, tonka and musk. Masculine, clean and refreshing. It is a handcrafted traditional shaving soap formulated for a long lasting, slick lather with a protective cushion and glide for a soothing post shave conditioning.

Forgot to post this morning's shave
Razor: Schick I Type w/ Chick blade (?)
Lather: TSD London For Men Type
Brush: Shave Revolution Synthetic
Post: Clubman Original

This razor did great today and despite not remembering how many shaves were on the currently loaded blade it did well. The Shave Den Soap lathered beautifully as always with the help of my new favorite brush. I'll need to get another Synthetic to keep things interesting. Clubman finished it off well and I'm BBS today with only a little bit of cleanup in my trouble area.

That Bald Guy with the Big Beard
Bishop, CA
Beaver Woodwright Pirate's Bay soap
Silvertip badger in burl box elder brush
Crown King scuttle
J.R. Torrey 5/8 full hollow
Old Spice splash

This razor has been consistently smooth since my first shave with it. Tonight, I ran it on the ILR to finish it up properly and got one of the smoothest shaves I have ever had. Very comfortable.  So far, I am really quite happy about picking up this ILR stone...
