I used the Maggard Slant for the first time today and I can say it's smooth, maybe too smooth. I like heavy razors because they help me use no pressure. This handle is too light for me... I ended up using too much pressure on my neck, and got some irritated skin and one weeper. B-M Beaudelaire is an intoxicating scent, related to, but lighter than Lavanille. I used some Reserve Cool to put out the fire.
I met William Carius and his Mom at Maggard's last night and had a great conversation about perfume, soap and everything else. I did get to smell both of the upcoming Reserve scents: Fern and Lavender. Both are excellent and will be mine someday. I also learned a great deal about celluloid and cell rot from Brad Maggard as he evaluated a Puma straight razor I recently obtained. Great people all!
