The RazoRock XXX along with the Bob "The Eskimo" Quinn Mokume-Gane Carbon and Red Copper brush (handsome devil)  Smile whipped up a great lather. The XXX scent is a fresh and clean; a cross between a classic Italian Colonia and an old-school barbershop. Touch off with the XXX aftershave splash and you get a near BBS.

Doug great pic.  I'm not sure how you manage to capture the Humming Bird in the photo.   Happy2

The old fashion way, just sit and wait. Smile Thanks Clint.

Lately, I had been tempted to purchase the Lea Classic soap puck, as it is a tallow based soap with menthol that could work well for me during summertime, as I am clearly gravitating towards tallow based soaps over vegetal base soaps/creams. And then, the other day, I had this idea. I have a fantastic Lea stick that works really well, and I have a nicely mentholated Lea Classic cream. What if we make these cousins work together?. So this evening, I rubbed my Lea stick on my beard as usual whenever I use it, and then added a small amount (chickpea sized, say) of Lea Classic in my bowl and loaded the brush with it. Then worked it on my face and I was rewarded by a thick, slick and extremely protective lather. The scent of the Lea stick (which I don't particularly like, smells of cheap lemon detergent) faded quite a bit in conjunction with the cream, and the cream added up some freshness and its nice scent. A win-win combination that I'm willing to use again and again this summer. You bet.
The Polsilver blade, in its fourth and final use, provided an incident free shave although it felt a bit harsher than in the previous shaves, so I ditched it. These blades work really well for me. I've run out of them but will order some more soon. Then a splash of my menthol beefed up Speick and some Bulldog balm, and life is good.

Razor: Schick Injector G1

Blade: Schick (2)

Brush: Mokume-Gane Carbon and Red Copper 3 Band

Soap: RazoRock Don Donato

A/S: RazoRock Don Donato

This soap base was formulated for extra glide and slickness to accommodate the demands of straight razor shaving. What makes this soap even more special is the scent, Absinthe and a hint of Cedar; warm herbal complexity and very masculine, this is sure to keep you happy and at peace during your sacred shaving time. I especially enjoy having an aftershave with the same scent as the soap.

Excellent near, and I mean very near BBS tonight.
